Any way you slice it, anxiety is a feature of modern life. Knowing how to surf its waves is contemporary kung fu. Women with a history of anxiety experience a higher surge of anxiety in peri-menopause. Both drugless and medication-inclusive therapy programs are available to restore the capacity for emotional self-regulation. Using targeted nutrients, hormone balancing where appropriate, neurofeedback, female-centric counseling and lifestyle support, in addition to prescriptive care when appropriate, we have stand-alone plans that may also be added to residency programs.
Our team of board-certified Regenerative Medicine doctors combines advancements in medical technology with clinical expertise to rejuvenate features that change with Age. These include collagen laxity, duller complexion, hair loss, fatigue & lowered libido. By focusing on the root causes rather than chasing symptoms, holistic healthcare as a foundational component of beauty makes results longer-lasting.
To get results, we offer online Metabolic Weight Loss programs and a virtual injection bar to support health goals from comforts of home. We know all too well that the incremental weight-creep is real: a woman entering menopause gains 20-30 pounds of body fat over ten years on average, a process known as redistribution. We also work with women who are struggling with weight concerns which have arisen after using birth control pills, as well as women with PCOS, and those women whose diligent efforts have not fructified. Before you give up in frustration, please know we are here to help with novel approaches designed for safety and efficacy.
What is your hair saying about your health? Our team of allied doctors screen for important endocrine conditions which impact a diverse interplay of hormonal patterns that drive hair thinning at its root. Hair is a symptom of the health, vitality and integrity of circulatory, endocrine, digestive, lymphatic and metabolic systems. Determining the cause(s) of your unique hair loss guides your unique treatment plan and clinical recommendations. Addressing rejuvenation with root cause assessment translates difficult symptoms into a meaningful transformation in your life, and ensures that your treatment results are sustained. Access to care begins on Day 1.
A preponderance of mid-life hormonal changes drastically impact the dynamic mantle of a woman's neurological integrity. This occurs regardless of a woman's race, ethnicity or nationality. Estrogen receptors have been extensively mapped in the rat brain, and has thereby informed translational neurobiology with a working model of estrogen-dependent neuroanatomical functions in women. Brain regions and a few of their corresponding functions include the pre-frontal cortex (executive functions, learning, working memory), amygdala (emotional interpretation, motivation), hippocampus (short-term memory, data processing comprehension), hypothalamus (circadian rhythm, sleep, temperature regulation, appetite control), thalamus (sensory input interpretation), raphe nucleus (mood, serotonergic system), posterior cingulate (default mode network) and the adrenergic system (modulates attention, arousal & anxiety). Appreciating the bio-energetics and estrogen-membrane initiated signaling of the female brain creates better whole-person healthcare for women.
Vaginal changes exist along a continuum: vaginal dryness, tearing and skin laxity are symptoms of long-term estrogen decline, but may be perpetuated by other 'silent' health issues, such as insulin resistance. It is perhaps easier to understand the physical challenges this poses for sexual activity, compared with mental changes in libido.
Sensuality and sexual drive decline with age. Too often, these changes are cues that endogenously secreted chemicals (think hormones & neurotransmitters), arousal pathways and arterioles (which deliver blood flow to both the brain and pelvic nerves) are waning due to diseases which are catalyzed by the aging process.
We've all heard the dictum 'Health is our greatest wealth'. A woman's health undergoes profound shifts beginning at around age 35-50, often coinciding with a woman's 'peak earning years'... Neuroscience data from University of Southern California has shown that 80% of peri-menopausal women hormonal transition states of neurological dysfunction, causing disturbances in cognitive performance, sleep quality, severe mood changes, relationships, self-esteem and stress resilience. While these are notable symptoms, many other incremental, 'silent' changes simultaneously occur in women whose hormones are not aligned. By intervening with targeted therapies at the beginning of this transition,
restored hormonal balance can protect against this whole-body tipping point, cultivating critical protection against neurodegenerative changes later in life while easing systemic stress.
Dr. Parker empowers women with a paradigm which honors the interplay of hormones upon the female lifespan, a term she describes simply as
'Feminine Medicine for Body & Mind'.
Dr. Parker received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her internship afforded her the opportunity to care for a diverse population of women from many different cultures and ethnicities. She is a diplomate of Anti-Aging medicine, and received board certification in Integrative Medicine through the Metabolic Medicine Institute. She achieved a Fellowship in Regenerative Medicine and an Advanced Fellowship in Functional Medicine, both through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She holds additional certifications in brain fitness, neurofeedback and biofeedback. Dr. Parker is the co-founder of Neurevolution Medicine LLC, a brain-based medical clinic which assesses root-cause health conditions using an integrative health model which includes neuroendocrinology, neurology, sleep medicine, neuropsychology, behavioral health and cardiometabolic medicine.
