Our office has streamlined the intake process so that new patients can easily complete forms online and upload any important healthcare records you would like to have us review prior to your appointment. Our office creates a patient portal for you to access this system.
To do this, we will ask for your birth date, email address and mobile phone number.
We will give your the opportunity to come into the clinic where our medical support staff will check your blood pressure, heart rate, body composition and other vitals. No. After seven years of a personal initiative to make personalized & functional medicine more accessible, Dr. Parker made the difficult decision to opt out of all insurance as of July 17, 2022. This is because insurance limitations do not support complexities of care within personalized & functional medicine.
Many of our services are eligible for reimbursement from insurance. If you need assistance with obtaining a reimbursement check from your insurance company using Out-of-Network benefits, please let us know at the time of service. Many services are eligible for HSA/FSA coverage.
Insurance will be billed for most or all lab orders and medications.
Common CPT codes used:
Lab CPT codes are ordered based upon medical necessity. If you have past lab work to upload to your portal, this may inform future lab tests and diagnostic codes used for reimbursement.
Dr. Parker is happy to work with your wellness care team to determine the root cause of illness, as well as its treatment. Primary care providers are focused on ruling out acute diseases, and are not geared towards qualify of life issues and preventive medicine. She is not a primary care doctor, and she views primary care as its own speciality out of a great degree of respect.
Like your primary care doctor, Dr. Parker runs most lab testing and imaging through insurance (except Medicare) as deemed appropriate. As an integrative medicine specialist, she is not a replacement for a primary care doctor. She would prefer that all patients have a primary care provider who is trained as an internist or osteopathic doctor at a major hospital for thorough physical exams and in the event of emergencies. She is similar to a primary care provider in that she may refer you to other specialists in order to more fully
evaluate a particular condition she uncovers during your evaluation.
Continuity of care refills are provided as needed, with the exception of most controlled substances. Some medication refills require a physical exam and standard lab testing, and some merit referrals back to the original prescriber.
Yes, a targeted 20 minute session can be scheduled to discuss your present health needs and determine how Dr. Parker may proceed with your care. The fee for a targeted session is $150, 50% of which may be applied towards your initial consultation when scheduled after your session.
Yes! Approximately 60% of our patients come to this clinic because they do not want to see a doctor for a disease condition. Rather, they see the need for preventive healthcare and wish to enhance their current level of
wellness for themselves and their family. Initial appointments of this type are used to establish care, review existing lifestyle habits including diet and exercise, and accentuate the goals you have for optimum health for yourself and for your family.
Yes! Dr Parker provides up-to-date aging & menopausal healthcare educational sessions via video conferencing to women around the world. This is different from a doctor-patient relationship, and she will not prescribe therapies, diagnose or interpret lab work in this context.
She can work to help you find credible care near you and arm you with resources to know how to evaluate your local doctors, the tests and lab work they should run, and other facets of health advocacy.
No. Each woman is distinctly different and her individual health goals and needs influence her care. Our approach is highly personalized based on individual goals and risk factors, and incorporates lifestyle wellness, exercise, nutrition, supplementation. Hormone therapies are not needed in many cases, and not all women are candidates for hormone replacement. Many of our patients use only natural remedies, diet and lifestyle to achieve their health transformations. Duration of treatment, budget, existing medications, family history, genomics and responses to previous therapies are always considered. Teens and women in their twenties often require simple adjustments in nutrition and digestion to help create hormonal balance. Depending on health goals and risk factors, women on hormone replacement may merit more extensive evaluations and more frequent appointments and screenings.
Yes. Dr. Parker continues to offer functional medicine to men for issues related to clinical nutrition, gastrointestinal health, cardiometabolic health, food reactivity testing & sports performance. She also has hair rejuvenation programs and weight loss packages specifically geared towards men.

Functional & integrative healthcare prioritizes improving an individual’s unique expression of wellbeing and vitality by reversing underlying factors which cause chronic disease and decreased quality of life. This may include a detailed review of past medical history, rigorous laboratory assessment, imaging &/or dynamic studies and tiered specialty treatment over time. This work-up honors the complexities that arise from an individual’s genetics, psychosocial development, lifestyle choices including nutrition and exercise, lifespan stage such as menopause or andropause & present physiological burden such as fatty liver, sleep apnea or insomnia. Treatments are designed to address underlying causes of illness while also alleviating concerning symptoms.
Blood tests and computerized cognitive testing serve as foundational assessments. When interpreted in the context of your health history as well as your present concerns and goals, these tests give us a better understanding of your present health.
To support a truly integrative care model, we provide specialty referrals to sleep medicine, neurology, cardiology, gynecology and endocrinology if we suspect this is in the best interest of your health. Specialty referrals help Dr. Parker to further evaluate multi-factorial health issues and to ensure that the root cause(s) of health problems are discovered. 3D mammogram screening and breast & pelvic ultrasounds are commonly ordered.
When appropriate, brain MRI, bone mineral density, thyroid ultrasound, ECG, colonoscopy and coronary CT are other
commonly ordered directly or through specialists in our referral network.
Testing requisitions are created after your initial intake, and because our testing menu is extensive, not all tests can be listed here.
You do not need a referral to see Dr. Parker.
However, a referral from your health care provider or counselor may expedite your ability to get an initial appointment.
Yes, your past medical work-ups are integrated into your assessment. In some cases, this data can be very helpful. The Documents section of the Patient Portal is intended for patients to upload past health records as .pdf documents. You may also complete a Release of Information form which we can fax to your provider, or you may directly request your provider to fax your records to us at 844-854-4660.
